The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, August 27, 2019 features some-not-so expert lying, some tough revelations, and a lovers tiff.

Sonny (Maurice Benard) reluctantly allowed Chase (Josh Swickard) into his home but denied any knowledge of Barry’s whereabouts. Dev (Ashton Arbab) overheard the conversation and spun a yarn about Barry and a trip to Atlantic City.

After Chase made his exit Sonny explained the Dev the proper way to respond to police questioning: deny, deny, deny or at the very lest use the tried and true, “I Don’t Know”

A furious Nina (Cynthia Watros) showed Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) the taunting text message that she received from Cassandra (Jessica Tuck) and the duo then showed it to Dr. Finn (Michael Easton).

Despite Valentin’s plea to the contrary, Finn contacted both the WSB and the police to warn them about Cassandra and her weaponized virus. Later, Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine revealed to Michael (Chad Duell) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) the truth about their Puerto Rican acquittance “Sandy.”

Liesl (Kathleen Gati) paid a visit to Dranco (Roger Howarth) and he was a little flummoxed that the slap she delivered to her besties face didn’t “snap him out” of his delusions.

She promised to find a way to reverse the memory transfer but Drancotold her he wasn’t interested. However, she cautioned him not to throw away the real life that he had as Franco — Drew Cain is just a memory.

At Oscar’s Meadow, Kim (Tamara Braun) proposed to Julian (William deVry) but he wasn’t exactly receptive. He told her that he is worried she is only asking in an attempt to prove to Dranco — and herself — that she is ready to move on.

After initially denying the charge Kim finally acquiesced and told “Charlie” that he is right. Julian escorted her to the hospital and their passionately charged kiss is witnessed by Dranco. The incident prompted him to appear at Elizabeth’s (Rebecca Herbst) front door. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
