The General Hospital recap for Friday, August 23, 2019, features a manifestation of grief, a hit being placed on a beloved character, and three teenagers looking forward to the future.
Inside her Metro Court suite, Ava (Maua West) dreamed of a visitation from Kiki (Hayley Erin). In her dream — or was it a nightmare? — ‘Kiki’ delighted in reading all the negative posts made about Ava’s Crimson interview and she laid the blame for Ryan’s killing solely at her mother’s feet.
She also wondered if perhaps there is a small part of Ava that’s happy to have her daughter gone. After all, Kiki was the only person in her mother’s orbit that would call her out on her bull. Maybe it’s easier not to have a little blonde Jiminy Cricket running around urging you to do good deeds.
Upon awakening, Ava turned to her computer to read more posts. The first one she read stated that Ava deserves to die alone. The posts author uses the handle lauren01 — and it felt like Kiki wrote it since Lauren Katherine was her real name.
Peter (Wes Ramsey) was accosted by Robert (Tristan Rogers) who arrived only seconds after Peter has placed a call to Shiloh promising to help him get released. And, coincidence of coincidences, it’s Shiloh that Robert wants to discuss with Mr. August.
More specifically the new DA wanted to know why Peter paid two separate visits to Shiloh at Pentonville. Peter covered by saying they were necessary to get Shiloh to reveal his story exclusively for Peter’s newspaper.
Later, Finn (Michael Easton) revealed to both men that Drew was on his way to Ethiopia to collect Andre Maddox. Peter placed a call and demanded the person on the other end of the line make sure that Drew NEVER reaches his destination.
At GH, Michael (Chad Duell) sat by Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) bedside and tried to lift her spirits. She wondered aloud if her illness was punishment for al the bad things she has done in her past but Michael didn’t believe that the universe dishes out punishments for bad behavior. Unbeknownst to the duo, Finn received Sasha’s latest test results and was absolutely stymied by what they reveal.
Trina (Sydney Mikayla) and Josslyn (Eden McCoy) headed over to Cameron’s (William Lipton) to try and perk him up. The conversation turned toward the possibility that Cameron and Josslyn will not be attending school in the fall but Trina did her utmost best to convince them otherwise.
Cameron was a quick sale so he and Trina worked overtime to get Joss on board. They succeeded and the three begin to look forward to their junior year. General Hospital airs weekdays ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
