The General Hospital recap for Friday, September 11, 2020, features Josslyn living a full life with Mike ever by her side, changes aplenty at GH, and a teenage quadrangle heating up.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) may not have had a living, natural grandfather but Mike Corbin (Max Gail) was the next best thing…or so the newly-created flashbacks tell us. If Josslyn had her way, “Grandpa Mike” would still be around for all the moments – big and small – including her graduation from high school, her wedding day, and the day she announces her pregnancy.
But Alzheimer’s doesn’t care about the whims of a teenage girl. So the best Joss can do is concoct a fascinating alternate future, stress to Mike that she loves him just as much as any girl would love her grandfather, and promise that she’ll make him proud.
Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) each pulled back from the kiss they shared with Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava (Maura West) respectively. Nikolas insisted that the smooch had been oh-so-right. Ava insisted that she couldn’t destroy Franco’s marriage. And Mr. and Mrs. Cassadine both agreed that they couldn’t do anything to jeopardize their position.
Liz suggested to her forgiven bestie that he jump ship and save himself from a miserable life with a woman he despised. Franco opined that perhaps Ava should try actually falling in love with her husband…and make him fall in love with her in turn.
Over at GH, Epiphany (Sonya Eddy) and Finn (Michael Easton) readied themselves to meet the newly appointed Chief of Staff. However, no amount of fortification could prepare them for Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) arrival or the news that she was their new boss.
Furthermore, no one on the staff could quite fathom the sweeping changes being implemented by Cyrus and his right hand. Epiphany Johnson: demoted; Finn: under review; and Elizabeth: reassigned to satellite shift with only a guarantee of two shifts per week!
Cameron (William Lipton) began to wonder if perhaps Josslyn was beginning to develop feelings for him. Dev (Ashton Arbab) told him it was painfully obvious – as was Cameron’s interest in Trina (Sydney Mikayla).
When Cameron expressed frustration at the situation, Dev offered him an out: man up, choose one girl, and let the other go. But Cameron wasn’t about to take advice from an “asexual.” General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
