The General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 27, 2020, features more questions asked than answers given.
Sonny (Maurice Benard) continued to push Taggert (Real Andrews) for an explanation but the latter-day Lazarus wasn’t exactly forthcoming. Instead, he wanted to know why Sonny had yet to eliminate Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober). Or, more importantly, why Sonny had yet to order Jason (Steve Burton) to eliminate him.
Sonny hemmed and hawed about how the timing wasn’t right and how Cyrus’s death would be traced to him. Taggert agreed to settle for the excuses – for now. But he demanded that Sonny continue to protect his daughter. Sonny agreed, and Taggert bid him and Anger Boy adieu.
Afterward, Sonny instructed Jason to go and get him some answers and Jason did just that. Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry), you’ve got some explaining to do!
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) fretted about having traveled with Wiley’s tracker-tagged kangaroo and Michael’s (Chad Duell) subsequent arrival proved that she had ample reason to do so.
The exes briefly argued and exchanged threats and when Michael turned his attention to locating Wiley, Nelle made a beeline for the nearby woods. Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Carly (Laura Wright) arrived on the scene and while the former phoned the police, the latter gave chase.
Carly quickly caught up with a winded Nelle, and she begged her to do right by Wiley and turn herself in to the authorities. Instead, Nelle made another dash for freedom…and stepped right off a cliff. After a brief hesitation, Carly reached out her hand, but Nelle plummeted into the darkness below!
Over at GH, Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) continued to be plagued by memories of Nelle’s attack and her father’s harsh treatment of her while Ned (Wally Kurth) bemoaned his adoption of Edward’s (John Ingle) faults. An update from Portia (Brook Kerr) left everyone with a modicum of hope and all were heartened by the news of Wiley’s rescue.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) and Trina’s (Sydney Mikayla) girls’ night out was complicated by the specter of one very important boy: Cameron Webber (William Lipton). Josslyn was sure that he didn’t really like like her, but Trina could neither confirm nor deny.
What she could do, however, was confess to the smooch that she and Cameron shared early in the year. And it was a profession that clearly rankled Joss. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
