The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, May 21 features performances and beloved characters in peril as the Nurses Ball continued and Ryan stalked his prey.
Finn (Michael Easton) stepped onto the stage to collect his ring and proposed to a shocked Anna (Finola Hughes) who happily said yes. After accepting the congratulations of their friends and family, the newly engaged duo got a room for some alone time.
Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) and Sonny (Maurice Benard) exited the ballroom to find Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) in the lobby blasting Sam (Kelly Monaco) for getting involved with Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin). Sonny made a less-than-veiled threat to Shiloh and Alexis convinced Kristina to leave.
Cameron (William Lipton) arrived at Sonny’s home to give Josslyn (Eden McCoy) Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) final recorded message. Viewing her late boyfriend’s tender video gave Josslyn the courage to arrive at the Nurses Ball though she told Carly (Laura Wright) she still didn’t think she is ready to perform the song she and Oscar wrote together.
Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) accidentally spilled Nina’s (Michelle Stafford) cocktail on her dress and the two shared some crosswords.
Later Nina overheard Willow discussing her baby over the phone with Diane. When Nina broached the subject of Willow having a baby Willow exploded unaware that Shiloh was nearby hearing every word.
Back in the Metro Court Ballroom, Franco (Roger Howarth) and Liesl (Kathleen Gati) performed the Barbra Streisand number “Guilty” and Cameron sang an original composition “You Are My North Star”
Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) was worried that he could not reach Laura (Genie Francis) on her cell phone, unware that she and Curtis Donnell L. Turner) were laying outside the smoky rubble that was once April Tremblay’s house.
Laura and Curtis came to just as the ambulance arrived and Laura asked the paramedics to contact the Port Charles police department — Ryan Chamberlin is alive and on his way there.
Ava (Maura West) took to the stage backlit in shadow and bathed in blue and red filters to perform a sultry version of Frankie Valli’s “Can’t Take My Eyes Off Of You” while an unconscious Kevin laid prone and vulnerable on the dressing room floor!
