General Hospital Recap (GH): Mr. & Mrs. Michael Corinthos III

The General Hospital recap (GH) for Monday, July 16 features Michael pulling out all the stops to bring down Nelle.

Ava (Maura West) immediately called the cops on Carly (Laura Wright) while Chase (Josh Swikard) insisted on getting her to the police station. Of course, Nelle suddenly had abdominal pains and had to be rushed to the hospital where everything was fine.

So, Michael (Chad Duell) decided to get married right then and there. Jason (Steve Burton) handed him the pen for the marriage license just after Griffin questioned Ava on how the words disappeared from that note. Who wants to bet Jason didn’t hand Michael invisible ink on purpose?

(Griffin did have a point and even brought up Morgan’s cologne because he’s beginning to put two and two together.)

Chase also made his way into Nelle’s room and once again told her Michael doesn’t love her and is only marrying her for the baby.

After the little wedding, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) told Michael how she caught Nelle and Chase kissing and that Nelle seemed to like it. Michael assured Joss he has things under control and Nelle overheard everything.

Back at Ferncliff, Carly settled into her prison cell of a room and tried to convince Rupert to help her get out of trouble with Mary Pat. She then explained she’d do anything for her children.

Sonny decided to accompany Carly to the police station so Sam (Kelly Monaco) volunteered to watch over Mike (Max Gail). She and Drew (Billy Miller) brought him home and found it awkward when he asked them who they were and how they met.

Later, Sam reassured Drew she doesn’t regret any of their time together the same way she told him that when she signed their divorce papers. There was clearly a lot of repeat action on GH, but that’s nothing new.
