The General Hospital recap (GH) for Thursday, July 19 features Mary Pat getting her revenge against Carly as Carly did her best to fight back.
Carly’s Fate
Escaping Ferncliff – or as Mary Pat puts it, eloping – landed Carly (Laura Wright) in a straight jacket and a padded room with her own Nurse Ratched on the warpath.
Mary Pat was thrilled that Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) is out of town visiting Laura (Genie Francis) because she got another doctor to prescribe all the meds she wants to keep Carly drugged for a long time.
Of course, Sonny (Maurice Benard) thought he still had some clout. Cause he’s Sonny. So, he showed up at Ferncliff and asked Rupert to let him see Carly. Rupert said there was nothing he could do, so Sonny threatened him. Cause he’s Sonny.
Sonny’s Non-Clout
Back at home, Sonny had to pretend to be someone else when Mike (Max Gail) didn’t recognize him and asked him to warn his son not to go near Charlie’s Pub. Felix (Marc Anthony Samuel) tried to make Sonny see it might be time to put Mike in a long-term care facility.
All Heck Breaks Loose
Down at the docks, Chase (Josh Swickard) saw Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) with part of a glass bottle and Franco (Roger Howarth) on the ground unconscious. So, he arrested Valentin who just wanted to get back to Spoon Island because he knew something crazy was going on there.
And boy was he ever right. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) was more over the edge than ever and might have jumped some sort of shark because she spoke of how much good she’s always done for people and now it’s her turn.
She took Faison’s lighter, set a rag in an alcohol bottle aflame, and threw it across the stables, setting everything ablaze. And she did this all while reciting P.K. Sinclair’s work. Bravo!
Back in Port Charles, Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Curtis (Donnell Turner) informed Maxie (Kirsten Storms) of everything they suspect and she realized her sister-in-law and mother-in-law had Peter (Wes Ramsey).
So, she made her way to launch, ripped down the West Nile Virus sign and was ready to take off as soon as the boat got there.
At the hospital, Franco finally woke and told Liz (Rebecca Herbst), Peter, and Sam it was Liesl who did this to him.
