The General Hospital recap (GH) for Monday, March 12 features Ava finally spending some quality time with both her daughters–and then manipulating to get more.
Mother-Daughter Time
Despite the earthquake, Ava (Maura West) had a lovely time with both Avery and Kiki (Hayley Erin) and only wanted more time with the child she’s hardly seen since she was born. To that end, she managed to get Avery to fall asleep early thinking Sonny wouldn’t want to wake her.
Of course, Sonny (Maurice Benard) couldn’t care less about waking her and went to take her home to “Mama Carly.”
A desperate Ava thought asking Sonny to pay for the lock he broke on her gallery door would give her more Avery time, but Sonny is a rich man and couldn’t care less about a door lock.
Father-Son Dilemma
Before leaving to get his daughter, Carly (Laura Wright) had a heart-to-heart with Sonny about having Mike (Max Gail) create a will before he couldn’t make decisions for himself.
Sonny didn’t want to have that discussion, but realized he’d have to soon.
Well, THAT Was Awkward
As for Ava’s other daughter, well Kiki had a creeper moment with Dr. Bensch (James DePaiva) when he asked her out on what seemed like a date. She ran as fast as she could.

Lotsa Secrets
Over at the hospital, Liz (Rebecca Herbst) overheard Jason (Steve Burton) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) talk about them admitting their love for one another. Sam said she felt she has to be up front with Drew (Billy Miller) and Jason wasn’t so sure she’d have to do that.
Later, Sam confronted Elizabeth about Franco, and the “fact” that he tried killing Drew when he pushed him down the stairs at just three years old.
Drew also confronted Franco (Roger Howarth) about the same thing and Franco insisted Jim Harvey was lying. Drew actually believed Franco, and the two decided to team up to find Betsy and also find out what’s really going on.
There’s Always Carly
Finally, without Sam, Jason had nothing better to do than visit Carly and tell her all about his earthquake of a night with Sam. Needless to say, Carly was thrilled to learn that Sam said those three magic words.
