The General Hospital recap (GH) for Tuesday, May 1 features Ava making herself look good and telling lie after lie to do it.
Secrets And Lies
Griffin (Matt Cohen) was so pleased when Ava (Maura West) told him that she and Sonny (Maurice Benard) came to an agreement over Avery’s custody and thought she was doing something out of the goodness of her heart. Ava was happy to let him believe that.
Oddly enough, it was Lucy (Lynn Herring) that tried to act as Ava’s conscience as she wrangled a big check from her for The Nurses’ Ball. Lucy said it’s so freeing to no longer manipulate because you’re not always waiting for the other shoe to drop.
For Ava, that shoe dropped fast when Sonny asked Griffin to have Mike’s medical records transferred and told him why–because of what Ava did. When Griffin realized Ava lied and manipulated, he confronted her.
Hard Decisions
Before his moment with Griffin, Sonny had some time with Stella (Vernee Watson) who tried to convince him to put Mike in a home. Sonny refused and said he’d hire home care.

Stressful Situations
Meanwhile, Carly (Laura Wright) told Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) everything that’s been going on and how she’s now on anti-anxiety meds. Bobbie thought all Carly has experienced is through being stressed and was happy to see the meds.
Alexis’ Trick
Elsewhere, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) tried to get Finn (Michael Easton) to have coffee with his brother. When he refused, she arranged for them to accidentally meet up at the Metro Court.
Love And Marriage
At the PCPD, Jordan (Vinessa Antoine) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) discussed Curtis’ marriage proposal as she had no idea Curtis (Donnell Turner) was discussing the same thing with TJ (Tequan Richmond). When Curtis asked for Stella’s blessing, she refused to give it.
