General Hospital Recap: Franco May Have Signed His Death Warrant

The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, January 6, 2021, features Franco making his most boneheaded move yet, Cyrus proving he can dish it out but can’t take it, and Ryan Chamberlain living to torment another day.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Franco, Franco, Franco (Roger Howarth). Just when it looked like his decision-making couldn’t get any worse, he had to go and tip his hand to Peter (Wes Ramsey). Now the villain knows that his plethora of dirty dealings is in danger of being outed…and a backed into a corner Peter is a dangerous Peter. Good going, Franco!

Turn About Is Fair Play

A furious Cyrus (Jeff Kober) blew into Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) office and demanded that she assist him in locating his kidnapped mother. And rest assured, the irony of Cyrus’s complaints about the targeting of innocents wasn’t lost on Jordan.

So, perhaps that goes a long way in explaining her decision to tell her former tormenter to kick rocks. Cyrus didn’t appreciate the new, blasé attitude his puppet adopted, and threats galore were issued. But Jordan didn’t budge. She was all out of damns to give, and she told Cyrus so.

Trouble Compounds

Meanwhile, Laura (Genie Francis) tracked Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava (Maura West) down and delivered both her condolences and the truth about her newfound ties to Cyrus.

But before the Cassadine couple could properly process the revelation, they, and Laura, were summoned to GH. Upon arrival, Kevin (Jon Lindstrom) informed them that Ryan (Jon Lindstrom) had awakened from his coma, but was now suffering from “locked-in syndrome.”

Ava called bull. And then she dug her claws into some of Ryan’s more sensitive areas. Not a sound, nor any grimace from the associated pain. Hmmm…maybe Ryan’s truly no longer a threat. PSYCH! The sly little smile elicited from the news he would be transferred to a minimum-security wing of the jail let us know the truth.

Mama Drama

Liesl (Kathleen Gati) managed to avoid Anna (Finola Hughes) thanks to Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) interference. PHEW. But then Britt recognized her.

Mother and daughter squabbled, then happily reunited, and finally decided to agree to disagree about Peter (Wes Ramsey), whom Liesl copped to investigating. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
