The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, December 22, 2020, features Finn laying down his burdens, Diane answering a friend’s cry for help, and bad news making the rounds.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Finn (Michael Easton) took a gulp, and a breath, and told Anna (Finola Hughes) all about his one night stand with Jackie (Kim Delaney) prior to her marriage to Gregory (Gregory Harrison).
Anna appreciated her betrothed’s honesty…then rightfully wondered if there was a chance that Chase (Josh Swickard) was his son rather than his brother. According to Finn, Jackie swore that the dates didn’t line up. And, of course, he took her at her word. Because why would she lie about an important thing like that?
Diane and Sam Measure Out Some Tough Love
Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) and Sam (Kelly Monaco) made their respective ways down to the PCPD in order to yell at Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn). Neither she nor her hangover thanked them.
And she certainly didn’t appreciate the choices that she was offered: stay in jail or get bailed out and forced into rehab. When Alexis chose option A, Sam huffed out of the room and joined a fed up Diane, who had already had her fill.
Bad News, Worse News
Over at Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) house, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) were hit with the one-two-punch of learning about Julian’s (William de Vry) death and Alexis’s arrest. Though he initially wanted to go help his ex, Ned was talked round by Tracey (Jane Elliot). His place was with his devastated wife, Mama Bear insisted, and Ned agreed.
Meanwhile, Jason (Steve Burton) explained Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) predicament to Carly (Laura Wright) and they headed back to Deathtrap Bridge. They conducted their own private search for Sonny but came up empty-handed.
Carly feared that her husband was well and truly gone, but Jason insisted there was hope. Sonny was an excellent swimmer and he could have managed to pull himself onto a riverbank.
When Carly pondered the worst-case scenario, Jason admitted that Sonny could have only lasted about an hour in the freezing water. What is Port Charles to do without its Dimpled Don? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
