The General Hospital recap for Monday, January 4, 2021, features Ava kicking Alexis when she’s down, Alexis returning the favor, Cyrus on the warpath, and Portia offering Jordan some hard-earned wisdom.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
A drunk Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) crashed Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas’s (Marcus Coloma) visit to Charlie’s Pub resulting in a barrage of recrimination between the three. Nikolas briefly negotiated a truce…which Alexis proceeded to obliterate via a stinging critique of the Cassadine/Jerome union.
Furthermore, Alexis attempted to dissuade her sister-in-law of some of her more fanciful notions: no, Alexis did not think Julian unworthy of her forgiveness and yes, she did still love him. The problem was that the love they shared was a poisonous one. A love fueled by a mutual addiction to danger.
It’s the same type of love that Alexis insists is binding Ava and Nikolas. Both parties eventually deny the accusations, but it’s clear that Alexis’s words struck a nerve.
Mama Drama
A furious Cyrus (Jeff Kober) stormed the Corinthos compound and demanded Jason (Steve Burton) return his stolen mother. A flummoxed Jason had nothing to offer Cyrus in way of an explanation, and Carly (Laura Wright), who had actually arranged the mom-napping, did little more than stand in the background and smirk smugly.
Later, Cyrus confronted Laura (Genie Francis) and laid all the blame for his and Florence’s predicament at her feet. Laura promised to get to the bottom of the situation and headed for Carly…but since she had gone out for the evening, Laura decided that she could yell at Jason just as easily.
Benefit Of Experience
Over at the PCPD, Portia (Brook Kerr) arrived to pay Taggert’s bail. Though she was denied the pleasure, she did get an opportunity to read Jordan (Briana Nicole Herny) the riot act…again.
And then, just to prove that she was indeed the better woman, Portia actually offered Jordan a bit of advice – advice which boiled down to, get your house in order or your man’s gonna bail!
Meanwhile, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) and Nina (Cynthia Watros) argued over his approach to parenting Josslyn (Eden McCoy). He expects his daughter to toe the line, do as she is told, and when she’s told to do it.
Nina, on the other hand, cautioned that he should now approach her as an adult woman capable of making her own decisions. She is 18 after all. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
