The General Hospital recap for Monday, July 22 features some much-needed backstory, a petition for divorce, and some not so subtle digs directed at a secret keeper.

Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) sat alone at the Floating Rib bar and began to remember the time he shared with Drew (for these purposes, Steve Burton) at war. Turns out slimy Shiloh was up to no good even during his days in Afganistan.

As he recuperated in the hospital after falling victim to an attack,  an angry Drew confronted Shiloh. One of Shiloh’s fellow comrades (who died in said attack) revealed to Drew that he and Shiloh were selling stolen fuel to the enemy in exchange for big bucks.

Drew promised to turn Shiloh in for his treasonous acts. Shiloh, however, tried to convince Drew to join his operation or at the very least help him betray his former associates. After all, didn’t Drew’s girlfriend need money to help her through medical school?

Back in the present, a hysterical Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) called on Sonny (Maurice Benard) to tell him about Dante shooting Peter August. They set off for Lulu’s (Emme Rylan) place where the young woman just told her mother that Dante’s divorce petition was filed on the grounds that he deserted her.

Laura (Genie Francis) informed Lulu that New York State law gives her 20 days to decide whether she wants to fight the divorce. Sonny and Olivia arrived and were confronted with the truth about the shooting and Lulu’s predicament. Olivia insisted that her daughter-in-law fight for her marriage.

At Curtis (Donnell L. Turner) and Jordan’s (Briana Nicole Henry) apartment, Stella (Vernee Watson) arrived with some groceries. Alone, the two women discussed the mysterious relative that Stella’s genealogy testing found. Jordan agreed to help Stella find out some more information.

Over at the Crimson offices, Ava (Maura West) and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) shared an elevator and discussed Sibley Gamble whom Ava rated, “four out of five chakras.”

Later, Nina became annoyed at Jax’s opinions on Valentin and his role in Nikolas’s death. She not-so-subtly brought up Cassandra Pierce’s name right as Valentin and Ava walked in.

Ava was enthusiastic about viewing her advanced copy of her interview but Nina shooed her out. As she exited, Ava told Maxie the only person she cared about reading her story was Kiki. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
