The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, November 19, 2019 features judgment day for Sam, a hard pill for Olivia to swallow, a shock for Elizabeth, and Brad and Lucas on the outs.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Sam (Kelly Monaco) is, at first, thrilled when the judge finds her not guilty of murder in the first degree. However, before she and Jason (Steve Burton) had time to do anything more than hold hands in celebration, a second verdict is handed down; Sam is GUILTY of manslaughter and negligent homicide.

Furthermore, the judge sentenced her to two years in prison — though she cautioned that she will speak to the parole board and they may allow Sam an early release and the opportunity to serve the remainder of sentence on probation and/or parole.

More Bad News

Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) called Sonny (Maurice Benard) over to the Q mansion and revealed that she received an envelope from the WSB that she hoped contained a letter from Dante, finally acknowledging her copious amount of correspondence.

She was crushed to discover that Dante had returned everything that she mailed him, all seemingly unopened alongside a note with one terse sentence. “Mom, stop sending me letters.

Answered Prayers

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) was shocked by Dranco’s (Roger Howarth) appearance at GH and equally surprised when he said he wanted to talk in private.

He wondered why she herself did not share the truth about Franco/Jim Harvey and his injuries as a child. Elizabeth replied that she felt it would be a betrayal of her husband. Dranco then told her that he has realized that it’s now his turn to make a sacrifice for Franco — he is going to submit to Dr. Maddox’s memory procedure.

Trouble Brewing

Brad (Parry Shen) and Lucas (Ryan Carnes) argued over Liesl’s veiled threat and Brad warned his husband that if he kept looking for problems their marriage would be over.

He stormed over to Charlie’s and tried to talk with an uninterested Julian (William deVry). He had just been cautioned by Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton)  — whom he mistook for a prostitute — to dissolve his “partnership” with Brad.

For her part, Brook Lynn finally arrived at the Q’s where she twisted her ankle, interrupted Ned, Olivia, and Sonny’s discussion about Dante, and received a welcome from her father. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
