The General Hospital recap for Monday, November 18, 2019, features Sam facing a judge and a hostile U.S. attorney, a troubling diagnosis for Alexis, Lucas getting on Liesl’s bad side (does she have another?) and Brook Lynn Ashton making an appearance and causing waves.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Jason (Steve Burton) and Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) arrived at the Port Charles Courthouse — the former to testify on Sam’s (Kelly Monaco) behalf and the latter to offer moral support with his frequent flyer mile-presence.

Both worried that Sam had made the wrong decision when she insisted on a bench trial but Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) told them to deal with it. The case was called to order to order and the judge took her place.

However, the U.S. attorney was conspicuously absent, giving Diane ample opportunity to request (and argue the merits of) an immediate dismissal of all charges. When Calvin Boudreau — whoops, Gabriel Burke – arrived the case commenced.

Sam and Jason each took the stand and answered the questions posed to them. Burke did his upmost to paint a picture of pre-meditated murder but Diane was zealous in her defense. Finally, the judge retired to ponder her verdict.

In the meantime, Sam and Jason worried that their argument that Jason was in mortal danger and unable to defend himself wouldn’t hold water. Heck, even Diane didn’t believe it. Later, the judge returned and Sam rose to her feet, prepared to hear her fate.

Diagnosis and a Decision

TJ revealed his theory to Finn that Alexis had ingested thallium and ordered tests that proved the budding doctor correct. Alexis couldn’t fathom how she took the poison and Finn wondered if she had an enemy who could have deliberately poisoned her.

Meanwhile, Franco (Roger Howarth) arrived at Kim’s (Tamara Braun) and told her that he has decided not to relocate with her to San Diego. Instead, he is going to submit to the procedure that everyone hopes will restore Franco’s memories. Kim did not react well and told him Elizabeth could cope, but she couldn’t.

Elizabeth was later surprised when Franco came to see her at the hospital and told her there was something he needed to say.

Threats and a Homecoming

Back at GH, Lucas (Ryan Carnes) ran afoul of Liesl (Kathleen Gati) who threatened to”reveal the cold hard facts about your husband and Wiley’s father.”

Over at Charlie’s, Brad (Parry Shen) and Julian (William deVry) struck a deal: Brad will convince Lucas to forgive his dad and Julian will keep quite about Wiley.

Port Charles returnee Brook Lynn Ashton (Amanda Setton) overheard it all and got awfully flirty with Julian. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
