General Hospital Recap: Did Carly Plant The Wrong Necklace?

The General Hospital recap for Tuesday, January 26, 2021, features Carly’s best-laid plan going to pot, and Jordan and Finn’s pleas falling on deaf ears.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

With the near-identical necklaces in hand, Carly (Laura Wright) stood poised to make her switch…but Nikolas’s (Marcus Coloma) sudden arrival disrupted her and Carly wound up unsure of which half-heart was the real one.

Nikolas then interrupted Ava (Maura West) and Bobbie’s (Jacklyn Zeman) conversation to reveal Carly’s shenanigans. Color Ava surprised that Carly was scheming behind her back…not!

Some extra lies were told – of course, Carly wasn’t stealing a child’s necklace, she was just borrowing it as one does – a threat to call the police was made, and Carly and her mother stalked off in defeat.

Nikolas wondered if Ava planned to investigate Carly’s actions, but she claimed not to be interested. Meanwhile, Carly headed over to Jax’s (Ingo Rademacher) abode, roused him and Nina (Cynthia Watros) from their slumber, and told her ex all about her failed subterfuge.

Mission: Impossible?

After dining with Anna (Finola Hughes) and confiding her troubles, Jordan (temporary recast Tiffany Daniels) decided to take her friend’s advice and reach out to Curtis (Donnell Turner).

Despite having admitted to Portia (Brook Kerr) earlier in the day that he can’t envision a life without Jordan, Curtis refused Jordan’s offer of a cease-fire. He’s still too hurt, and too fed up with her constant lying to just forgive, forget, and start anew.

Detail Oriented

After running into Jackie (Kim Delaney) at the hospital, Finn (Michael Easton) asked for a private chat. Once alone, he wondered, again, if there was any possibility that Chase (Josh Swickard) could be his son rather than his little brother.

And for her part, Jackie admitted that yes, there exists a possibility. But it is a very remote one. Then, when pressed further, Jackie castigated Finn for bringing up the subject now, after so many years had passed, and she promptly shut down any talk of having a paternity test performed. As far as she is concerned, Chase is Gregory’s (Gregory Harrison) and that’s all there is to it.

Just A Spark

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) made her way to Monica’s (Leslie Charleson) hoping to catch Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katlyn MacMullen) together but only caught the former. She told him all about her plan to submit to an in-depth interview with Jackie concerning her drug use.

Across town, Willow received the same information from Chase. Neither Willow nor Michael revealed their annulment status. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
