The General Hospital recap for September 21-25, 2020, features everybody learning that the Wicked Witch of PC will no longer darken their lives again. It also saw two of the town’s finest resorting to dirty, underhanded tricks.
There wasn’t exactly anyone holding out hope for Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) safe return to Port Charles. Still, many were surprised to hear that her dead body had been found and positively identified. Most didn’t believe that such evil could be extinguished.
But Nelle’s death also complicates matters for quite a few parties. Carly (Laura Wright), for one, was already struggling with her guilt at not being able to pull the young woman up the cliff to safety. Now, she’s having to double down on her story and keep shut about Nell’s fall and involvement in it.
Chase (Josh Swickard) is certain that Nelle’s passing offers the perfect opportunity to come clean about his and Sasha’s (Sofia Mattsson) deception…but she’s pretty sure that the ship has sailed. Especially now that Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) is poised to formally adopt Wiley.
Poor Julian (William de Vry) now has the unenviable task of trying to relieve Martin Grey (Michael E. Knight) of documents Nelle left with him…documents that incriminate Julian in several shady and murder-y plots.
And then there’s Nina (Cynthia Watros). She’s been traversing all over New York City trying to get as much information as she can about her missing daughter and the necklace that they have in common.
And all the while, it seems that Nelle was said daughter…a fact that Nina might never learn. Unless she somehow figures out that little Avery now has that necklace. Good thing she and Avery’s mommy are now bosom buddies. She’s perfectly poised to notice little details like Avery sporting the much-in-demand item.
Desperate times call for desperate measures. And Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Franco (Roger Howarth) are desperate. How desperate? Desperate enough to extort money from Ava (Maura West) and Nikolas (Marcus Coloma).
And with Scotty (Kin Shriner) working on their behalf as an intermediary, they now stand to gain $250,000 dollars. But only if Elizabeth keeps her cool and her nerve.
They say that appearances can be deceiving. But it really, really looks like Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) is being set up for failure. The big question is why? But the bigger question is by who? Last we checked, Frisco Jones was the head of the WSB. Surely this former hero hasn’t gone full-blown evil.
The hits just keep coming for Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) don’t they? First, she loses her license to practice law. Then the man she threw it all away for ups and dies on her. Now, she’s learned that even her own body is turning against her. Why is this woman incapable of achieving even one small victory?
GH has been chemistry testing the hell out Brando (Johny Wactor) and every available (and in many cases non-available) female cast member. Who do you think he’s shined brightest with? Alexis? Maxie (Kirsten Storms)? Sam (Kelly Monaco)? Molly (Haley Pullos)?
Who exactly identified Nelle’s body? Her husband didn’t do it. Michael (Chad Duell), her ex-husband didn’t do to. Carly, her mortal enemy didn’t do it. And Chase didn’t admit to doing it…are we SURE it’s actually Nelle? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
