The General Hospital recap for August 3-7, 2020 features a surprising close to a courtroom showdown and proof that evil endures.
Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was certain that she had Wiley’s custody case in the bag when she caught sight of Nina (Cynthia Watros) entering the courtroom. Little did she realize that Nina came bearing the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth…and God help her, she told it.
The Corinthos family was left confident that Nina’s testimony was the final nail in Nelle’s coffin… and Nelle’s resulting tirade was just icing on the cake. But Nelle had a backup plan: kidnapping.
Sure, she didn’t do such a good job of it the last time but as the old saying goes, if at first you don’t succeed, go to your friendly neighborhood villain, blackmail him for some fake passports, and try, try, try again.
Speaking of Valentin (James Patrick Stuart), on top of providing Nelle with his services, he also managed to help Brook Lynn (temporarily Briana Lane) worm her way into Deception alongside Maxie (Kirsten Storms), Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), and Lucy (Lynn Herring). And all Brookie has to do in return is keep quiet about his take over bid for ELQ.
Maxie isn’t too thrilled to have Brook Lynn or her “jingle writing talents” onboard, but she has bigger things to worry about – those three drug store brand pregnancy tests aren’t going to take themselves. Nor is that far more accurate hospital-administered blood test. At least she has Lulu (Emme Rylan) to lean on during this trying time.
And Lulu might soon need the gesture returned. That is if Dante’s (Dominic Zamprogna) psychiatrist can convince him to submit to some therapeutic treatment. But it’s going to be an uphill battle. The former G-man is convinced that he is beyond saving and will forever be a threat to the ones he loves.
But danger still lurks in PC with or without Dante’s presence. Poor Jason (Steve Burton) seems poised to be the next casualty of Cyrus (Jeff Kober) and Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) turf war, but did Brando (Johnny Wactor) have a hand in Stone Cold’s accident?
He certainly looked mighty guilty standing at the hospital alongside Sam (temporarily Lindsay Hartley). Carly (Laura Wright) – who now holds Jason’s fate in her hands – and the rest of Jason’s concerned friends and family…minus Monica (Leslie Charleson).
Does she even know that her son has been injured and checked in to the hospital? Maybe she’s too busy luxuriating inside her house. Alan (Stuart Damon) gave it to her, don’t you know? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
