The General Hospital recap for Thursday, September 17, 2020, features Mike letting go and joining his beloved daughter in the great hereafter. There was also drama aplenty for Robert and Alexis.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

A momentary flight of fantasy revealed to Sonny (Maurice Benard) his father’s greatest need: privacy. Off that revelation, Sonny bid Mike (Max Gail) adieu and joined his family in Turning Woods’ sitting room.

Finally alone, Mike was greeted by a vision of his dearly-departed Courtney (Alicia Leigh Williams) – the daughter taken far before her time. Suddenly dressed in his cap and appropriate attire, Mike took Court’s hands, said a final goodbye to Sonny, and ascended into the comforting white light.

After realizing that Mike had passed on, Carly returned and relayed the news to the family. One by one they made their exits. A distraught Josslyn (Eden McCoy) retreated to the home’s garden, Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) excused herself to go and check on Wiley, and Michael (Chad Duell) phoned Brook Lynn (Briana Lane) with his condolences.

New Places, Familiar Faces

Over in Monte Carlo, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) attempted to provide Robert (Tristan Rogers) with the distraction he needed to go and search for Holly (Emma Samms)…but Olivia was distracted in turn by Ethan’s (Nathan Parsons) sudden appearance.

When the opportunity presented itself, Olivia ascertained exactly why Ethan was there (he’s on the trail of Holly’s possible killer), and then she explained that not only is Robert on the case but he believes Holly to be alive and hidden somewhere in the casino.

After coming face to face with Robert, Ethan punched him in the face! Then both men were escorted to a back room and tied to chairs. Robert managed to finagle a way to get free, but it was all for naught. Before the pair could escape, they were cornered by their mutual enemy.

Ned and Nikolas Plays Prince Valiant

Back in Port Charles, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) attempted to dissuade Diane (Carolyn Hennesy) of the notion that she needed looking after. Diane, however, was not so easily convinced.

But she did agree to leave Alexis in Ned’s (Wally Kurth) capable hands. The former marrieds laid their troubles bare and agreed to continue to conversation at a more suitable location.

But first, Alexis was heading to the hospital. That wrist was still troubling her greatly and Ned was certain there was more to it than a sprain. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
