The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, April 15, 2020, features a scheme to ruin a child’s birthday party, Nikolas receiving a warning and bad news for Danny.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Violet’s (Jophielle Love) extravagant birthday party was the theme of the day and provided many of the guests with an opportunity to reflect on their past. Most specifically, Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) – who mourned the son whose struggle with PTSD forced him to abandon his family – and Finn (Michael Easton) who was consumed with memories of his love affair with Hayden (Rebecca Budig).
Though the early hours of the party were an unqualified success, hopes of a continuing trend were marred by Charlotte (Scarlet Fernandez) placing her pet snake inside a piñata that was soon to be opened.
Warning Shot From Sonny
Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) and Ava’s (Maura West) plan to collect Avery and head over to the celebration was halted by Sonny (Maurice Benard). At his demand, Ava and Avery were escorted to Anna’s (Finola Hughes) home by a bodyguard and Nikolas remained just where he was.
All the better for Sonny to accuse him of being a coward and an unfit father – yes, it’s just like the pot calling the kettle black but Sonny’s never been one to understand the concept of hypocrisy.
Nikolas attempted to defend himself. Sure, he might have been wrong to stay away an entire three years, but at least he DID unseat Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) as Prince of the Cassadines – everybody should be grateful to him for that.
But rather than thank Nikolas, Sonny offered him a belated – and sarcastic – congratulations on his marriage and a stern warning: “You do whatever you want, but if it touches Spencer…I will intervene.”
Family Drama
Concerned that Cyrus (Jeff Kober) might target Anna, Jason (Steve Burton) personally delivered the warning. Anna thanked him for his trouble but refused his offer of assistance.
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Danny (Porter Fasullo) happened upon the pow wow and the boy wondered if his father was there to join him and his mother. Jason, however, had to disappoint his son by revealing that he wouldn’t be coming around anymore. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
