The General Hospital recap for Monday, June 1, 2020, features a return trip to the Spring of 2016 and a Nurses Ball that is in full swing.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Last week, viewers were treated to two back to back Nurses Balls (from 2014 and 2015). And now GH has moved forward exactly one year.
Context Is Key
There’s a serial killer stalking the halls of General Hospital though his or her identity remains unknown. Meanwhile, the festivities going on over at the Metro Court has so far included the annual opening number (performed by the hospital’s best nurses). But unlike the previous years, gate crashing Liesl (Kathleen Gati) is nowhere in sight. Thanks, Lucy (Lynn Herring)!
While Brad (Parry Shen) and Jake (Hudson West) break a sweat over their impending trips to the stage – the former to marry his fiancée, Lucas Jones (Ryan Carnes) and the latter to perform a song – Hayden (Rebecca Budig) desperately tries to get the attention of Jordan Ashford (Vinessa Antoine).
Hayden knows that it was Nikolas (Tyler Christopher) who ordered her (botched) execution and she wants the truth to out…least he tries to harm again! And then there’s Carly (Laura Wright).
She’s not happy that Ava (Maura West) is seeking custody of her own child. So, in order to reign her in, she’s poised to blackmail her rival with a tape featuring her and Paul Hornsby in an intimate moment.
The Show Must Go On
“Eddie Maine” (Wally Kurth) and Emma (Brooklyn Rae Silzer) tickled the crowd with their spin on Elton John’s Don’t Go Breaking My Heart and they were followed by Jake – with assistance from Franco (Roger Howarth).
Next up it was Magic Milo (Max Giambetti) and his Magic Wands. They took nearly all of it off to the rockling sound of Demon in Disguise but there was a noticeable absence – (Lucas Jones) – and a surprise substitution – Griffin Munro.
Best Laid Plans For Hayden and Ava
Hayden’s attempts to speak with Jordan were stymied – by both the commissioner’s complete disinterest and Nikolas’ s intrusions. Luckily Curtis (Donnell Turner) was on hand to offer his assistance.
It’s too bad for Ava that she didn’t have someone like Mr. Ashford on her team. Carly’s blackmail attempt didn’t scare her in the least. But Carly’s subsequent threat to Paul sent him scrambling. He told her to give in to Carly or he would out her as Connie’s (Kelly Sullivan) shooter!
A touch of vertigo sent Bobbie (Jacklyn Zeman) to the hospital where she and Lucas were both attacked by the serial killer! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
