General Hospital Recap: Carly Pushes Nina To Keep Smike All To Herself

The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, March 24, 2021, features Carly and Sonny digging their own metaphorical graves, Peter agreeing to a step back – for now – and Trina issuing yet another apology.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Before she could let Carly (Laura Wright) in on Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) miraculous survival, Nina (Cynthia Watros) was cut off at the pass and subjected to harsh rebukes and ridicule. In response, Nina decided to forgo truth and honesty, and she instead warned Carly that she had just made the empty bed that she was going to have to lay in. Boy, the subtext was strong in that remark!

And while Carly tried to decipher Nina’s “threat,” Nina filled in Smike on her daughter’s sorry tale, and of the grandchild, she’s being denied access to, and of the bitter widow she had just argued with over the phone.

In response to Nina’s story about Wiley, Smike wondered how a person could keep another away from a thing they loved. Nina briefly wondered the same thing, before deciding to play a game of tit-for-tat with Carly. If she can’t have Wiley, then Carly shall go wanting for Sonny. Now everybody’s miserable, and Nina has eked out a hollow victory. Yay?

Too Close For Comfort

Maxie (Kirsten Storms) and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) arrived at GH for a Lamaze class and wound up running into Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). Pleasantries and a few catty remarks were exchanged, and Brook Lynn wound up getting roped into joining the class.

But before Felix could get to teaching, Peter (Wes Ramsey) burst into the room, intent on playing the role of Maxie’s coach. Britt refused to budge, and she ordered her brother to get the hell out…but not before warning him that his behavior was leaving a lot to be desired. Later, Maxie revealed that she has a plan in place to deal with her ex.

A Way Out And A Way Forward

Having already doled out one long overdue apology, Trina (Sydney Mikayla) decided that Taggert (Réal Andrews) was entitled to one as well. She visited her father at the PCPD, and, upon learning that Jordan (Briana Nicole Henry) had encouraged him to plead Not Guilty at his upcoming trial, Trina did the same. She’s desperate to get her dad back, and she expects him to do everything in his power to come home to her.

Selfish, Selfish, Selfish

Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) delighted in telling Charlotte (Scarlet Fernandez) about her new baby brother or sister. She wasn’t so sold on the idea. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
