The General Hospital recap for Friday, April 16, 2021, features Carly going no holds bar, a new couple forming, Nikolas taking action, and Alexis facing her first real prison challenge.

General Hospital Recap Highlight

Carly (Laura Wright) ushered Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and Anna (Finola Hughes) into the Corinthos compound for a meeting of the minds…and she quickly deduced that the two had allowed Peter (Wes Ramsey) to get the drop on them.

They refused to share the specifics, but they made it clear to Carly that further upendings to Peter’s life would result in the loss of an innocent. They were sure that would convince Carly to dial back her enthusiasm for vengeance – but they don’t know Carly. Like, at all.

Couple Up

Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) returned to the scene of her and Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) late night, steam-creating hookup in order to find her missing phone – and she and Brando wound up deciding that they’d very much like to continue seeing one another.

The two then busied themselves with car repairs and overt flirting. Color Mother Corbin (Bonnie Burroughs) unamused. Hadn’t she warned Sasha away not a few days earlier? Is her authority being disrespected?

Playing Happy Families

Martin (Michael E. Knight) and Cyrus (Jeff Kober) respectively ambushed Laura (Genie Francis) to plead their cases for leniency, but she was all out of forgiveness. In point of fact, she was mighty angry at Cyrus for leaning on Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) to find Florence, and she was pretty sure that Martin had let something of vital importance slip to his nephew.

And that he had. Thanks to Martin’s talk of hummingbird cake, Nikolas tracked Florence’s location and made preparations to forcibly liberate the old woman.

The Welcomed Slowdown

Nina (Cynthia Watros) worked overtime to convince herself that keeping quiet about Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) miraculous survival was in his best interest…and Sonny made a similar argument himself. He likes his new normal, and he’s not exactly chafing at the bit to learn about his past.

What he does want, however, is to court Nina. But she’s already made plans with that dreadful Elijah (Dan White) fellow. Gosh, she really does have bad taste in men.

On The Inside

Alexis ran afoul of Hilda, another Pentonville inmate, after committing the sole crime of existing. Gosh, looks like prison life is going to be tougher than she initially realized. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
