The General Hospital recap for Thursday, September 9, 2021, features Carly Corinthos and Jason Morgan deciding that they really can make a go of it, Austin Gatlin-Holt and Ned Quartermaine agreeing that something is wrong with Leo, and Curtis Ashford playing rescuer.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
It probably came as no surprise, to anyone, that Carly (Laura Wright) didn’t do a runner on her wedding day. Instead, she’d merely gone to the site where Jake once stood, in order to reflect on her and Jason’s (Steve Burton) past, reckon with their present, and contemplate their future. Her conclusion? She’s not quite as in love with him as she had been years previous, but she’s pretty sure that will change in time. Jason concurs, then goes in for a kiss. All is well in Jarly’s world.
Except for the fact that Carly’s husband is alive and well – or as well as any amnesiac can hope to be – and living just one state over under an assumed name. Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) seems fine with the status quo; Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) is definitely fine with it; but Jasper “Jax” Jacks (Ingo Rademacher) isn’t having it.
Port Charles, Jax claims, needs big bad Sonny to come home and restore order – lest Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) and the Five Families run amuck.

GH Recap: Shop Talk
For a brief moment, Ned (Wally Kurth) lived every parent’s worst nightmare: his (adopted) son was missing. Luckily, the scamp had only moseyed on over to Austin (Roger Howarth), so that he could thank him for the fidget spinner. During a subsequent, private confab, Austin and Ned agreed that Leo may have a condition that necessitates treatment.
General Hospital Recap: Close Call
Curtis (Donnell Turner) managed to free Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) and Jordan Ashford (Briana Nicole Henry) from the basement they’d been left to die in, but neither he nor Portia could rouse the grievously injured Jordan.
