General Hospital Recap: Brook Lynn Is The Most Incompetent Secretary

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, March 19, 2020, features ELQ in serious crisis, Maxie getting disappointed, Anna and Finn making plans, and Spinelli getting some sound advice.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Lulu (Emme Rylan) having suddenly remembered that she’s a journalist, got to work on reporting Brook Lynn’s (Amanda Setton) most recent social media faux pas. When her story concerning the upcoming merger between an ELQ subsidiary and a company called Metrenmedtech broke, Ned (Wally Kurth), Michael (Chad Duell) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) scrambled to do damage control.

Maxie: Victim of Circumstance

While Maxie (Kristen Storms) gushed about her promised promotion and pay raise, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) informed a devastated Nina (Cynthia Watros) that there was no way he could give her the extra cash. How would it look to the other departments if he gave his girlfriend a few more hundred dollars?

When an exuberant Maxie returned to the office to bandy around some ideas, Nina told her that the new job title was a go – Senior Vice President of Creative Marketing – but there would be no salary increase.

Far from pleased, Maxie stormed out of the meeting and informed Lulu that she planned on getting even with Jax and Nina. Lucy (Lynn Herring) and Sasha (Sofia Mattsson), here comes Maxie!

Future Plans

Anna (Finola Hughes) tracked Finn (Michael Easton) down at the hospital and the two took the opportunity to plan Violet’s (Jophielle Love) birthday party. The oh-so-extravagant event led the two to discuss their wedding – and Anna decided that she and Violet would prefer something big and sparkly rather than a simple courthouse ceremony.

A Friendly Ear

Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) made Brando’s (Johnny Wactor) acquaintance at Volonino’s gym and received his encouragement to continue his investigation into Peter (Wes Ramsey) – even if it means angering his beloved Maximista.

Help Wanted?

After hearing Jason’s (Steve Burton) concerns about Harmony, Sonny (Maurice Benard) called Brando and asked for his opinion of the woman. Brando agreed that she was acting cagey and offered Sonny his assistance in any endeavor he undertook.

Sonny thanked his cousin but agreed with his earlier assessment – their paths shouldn’t cross any more than they have to. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
