The General Hospital recap for February 10-14 features Valentin proving that even when he loses his wins, Brad trying to put his troubles in the rearview mirror, and more.
Talk about a whirlwind week. Not only did Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) discover that he’s not a Cassadine, but he also learned that Nina (Cynthia Watros) kissed Jax (Ingo Rademacher), resisted the urge to shoot his new rival, sparred with the ghost of his dead mother, nearly committed suicide, AND still, he found the time to personally negotiate the sale of Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) ELQ shares. The man is an unstoppable force.
For anyone interested, the eloquent prose that Valentin uttered right before he considered leaping from the Metro Court’s balcony is from Act 1, Scene 2 of King Lear.
“Don’t let this Linc guy drag things out too much. I don’t like him. He’s pond scum.” Well, isn’t it nice to see that even Valentin has reservations about sexual harassers?
“Do you remember Ellie Trout? The woman who was supposed to head the GH lab but she had that title ripped away from her by your underhanded dealings?” Don’t worry Maxie (Kirsten Storms), if Brad (Parry Shen) doesn’t, you’ve clearly remembered enough for the both of you. Also, hold a grudge much?
Nelle: “Okay, so let me get this straight. You think if you stay in Port Charles that Lucas will just see me and Michael around town and it’ll just come back to him like that? Is that it? Lucas can remember just as easily in Portland, Brad (Parry Shen)!”
“As you’re packing up all your stuff and relocating, maybe you should reconsider men as Wiley’s designated guardian.” First off, who remembered this interesting little tidbit? Secondly, why is Julian (William de Vry) an unacceptable influence but it would be fine for a hitman and his moll to rear the babe?
Charlotte: “If it weren’t for certain people, Papa would be married to Nina, and everything would be the way it’s supposed to be.” Why isn’t Lulu (Emme Rylan) more concerned after a statement like that? Especially knowing that her daughter is an impulsive hellion with a bullying streak.
Does ELQ really have an office in Portland, Oregan? Or was Michael (Chad Duell) merely trying to get under Nelle’s skin? If they do indeed have a location there…why? General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
