 Comments

The General Hospital recap for Friday, July 16, 2021, features “Mike” putting out a distress call to Nina Reeves, the Quartermaine clan desperately trying to figure out Austin Gatlin-Holt’s deal, and Sasha Gilmore giving her manfriend the mother of all ultimatums.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

The good news? Lenny Caulfield’s (Rif Hutton) heart seems to be in okay shape. The bad news? Doctors have detected a cancerous mass on his pancreas. In light of the untenable situation now faced by all, “Mike” (Maurice Benard) phoned Nina (Cynthia Watros) – who’d just finished a surprisingly pleasant conversation with Carly Corinthos (Laura Wright) – and asked her to “come home.”

GH Recap: Charm Offensive

While Monica Quartermaine (Leslie Charleson) tried to get the measure of Austin (Roger Howarth) at the hospital, Michael Corinthos Quartermaine (Chad Duell), Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth), and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) set about figuring the best way to handle their newfound relation.

They all agreed that they’d be damned if he got even one share in the family company – which turns out to be exactly what the good doctor is after – and Brook Lynn argued that not only should he get nothing, but he should be run right out of town. Michael suggested that they bring Austin into the fold, and make him feel like part of the dynasty…while still offering him nothing of monetary value.

General Hospital Recap: Mob Mentality

Brando Corbin (Johnny Wactor) had something he needed to get straight with Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) – does she, or doesn’t she, want to be in a relationship with him. She admitted that she does…but not if her perspective beau is planning to join the Corinthos organization. So now Brando has a choice: his lady love and their baby, or a seat at the table alongside Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Carly Corinthos.

GH Recap: This Thing Called Love

Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) and Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) took, respectively, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) into their confidence and admitted to having feelings for a certain someone…though they, of course, failed to mention the other by name. Sam also questioned Jason about his upcoming marriage to Carly but then seemed to oddly understand it. Sure, Jan.
