General Hospital Recap: Ava Tells The WHOLE Truth!

The General Hospital recap for Monday, August 27 features a showdown between Ava and Griffin where nobody comes out the winner.

Showdown In The Park
Griffin (Matt Cohen) pressed Ava (Maura West) over whether she kept that baby blanket hidden for months while Carly was committed to a mental institution.

While she denied it at first, Ava finally confessed that yes, she knew where the blanket was all along, but she didn’t confess because Nelle (Chloe Lanier) was blackmailing her. She did it to protect Griffin’s career.

We suppose that’s a noble reason, but Griffin didn’t think so considering that she tanked his career anyway. The two argued about morality and who is the better or worse person.

As Ava snarled and Griffin threatened, it wasn’t clear which one had the upper moral hand.

Panic At The Mansion
Over at Casa Corinthos, Mike (Max Gail) had a close call when he set off the alarms and Sonny (Maurice Benard) nearly shot him.

After Carly (Laura Wright) got Mike to calm down and go to bed, she and Jason (Steve Burton) discussed how hard things are while Sonny stared at a picture of Mike saying he’s not sure how to handle things.

It’s Over
Sam (Kelly Monaco) and Kristina (Lexi Ainsworth) shared some sisterly bonding with Kristina confessing she wants to end things with Parker and move home.

However, she feared if she flies back out west to tell her, she’d chicken out. So, Sam booked a flight to go with her. Because Sam always has built-in sitters for her kids.

The DA Pulls A Fast One
While Jason and Sam were leading their separate lives, Drew (Billy Miller) was doing the same as he accused Margaux (Elizabeth Hendrickson) of having the infamous flash drive of memories. Well, the flash drive Drew found had Margaux’s childhood memories, but not Drew’s.

Drew felt stupid, but after he left, Margaux took the flash drive he’s looking for out of the safe and it was clear she’s not giving it up anytime soon.

Dr. Bailey Visits…Not Really
Finally, Curtis, Jordan, and Stella went for family therapy, which ended with Jordan accusing Stella of having no life. So, that went well. Dr. Francine Massey (Chandra Wilson) mediated as therapist.
