General Hospital Recap: Ava and Sonny Had A Rare Tender Moment

The General Hospital recap for Wednesday, May 13, 2020, features Sonny making a big decision, Robert getting a serious wake-up call, and Olivia jumping to the wrong conclusion.

General Hospital Recap Highlights

Sonny (Maurice Benard) was heartened to find Ava (Maura West) and Avery visiting Mike (Max Gail). Ava took the opportunity to apologize to Sonny for her previous treatment of an ailing Mike. She also tried to reassure Avery, who was worried that perhaps she might one day be forgotten or in turn forget.

After the visit ended, Sonny took a private meeting with one of Mike’s care providers. Owning to Mike’s inability to properly eat, the man wondered if Sonny was prepared to authorize the insertion of a feeding tube. Sonny agonized over what to do. Ultimately, he decided that he would indeed take extreme measures to prolong Mike’s life.

Robert Scorpio Has The Blues

Robert (Tristan Rogers) woke up on Laura’s (Genie Francis) couch with one heck of a hangover. Laura took the opportunity to playful tease him about the shenanigans they never actually got up to the night before.

Upon learning of the reason for Robert’s state – the death of Holly Sutton (Emma Samms) – Laura offered her deepest sympathies, some strong black coffee, and some sage advice.

Later, Robert showed up at the PCPD hoping to lose himself in his work…but the distraction failed to do the trick. However, his interest was piqued when Mac (John J. York) revealed that he and Anna (Finola Hughes) were not convinced that Holly’s death was the result of an accident.

Jumping The Gun

When Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) learned that Dustin (Mark Lawson) would be accompanying Rocco on Bring Your Dad To School Day, she accused Lulu (Emme Rylan) of trying to erase Dante from his son’s life.

Lulu then countered that it had been Rocco who requested Dustin’s presence and that Dustin would be chaperoning the boy as an “honorary uncle” while decked out in a Yankee’s cap in honor of Dante.

Sufficiently chastised, Olivia actually said something nice about Dustin to his face. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
