The General Hospital recap for Monday, September 21, 2020 features Alexis receiving her diagnosis, Avery learning about Mike’s passing, and Dev seeking some advice from his pretend father.
General Hospital Recap Highlights
Despite efforts to avoid leaning her test results, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) wound up escorted into an exam room by Molly (Haley Pullos), who was anxious to hear her mother’s prognosis.
Portia (Brook Kerr) arrived with the news…and it wasn’t exactly stellar. No, Alexis did not have bone cancer – way to jump to conclusions Molly! However, there’s every indication that she does have osteoporosis.
Without treatment, Alexis is in for a long hard road. Her bones would continue to weaken. Every stumble could lead to yet another fracture. And breaking a hip could change her whole life.
Luckily, Alexis’s disease can be managed. She’ll have to take specialty vitamins, Calcium supplements, and indulge in dreaded exercise, but she will also be able to live a full and productive life. And that’s music to Alexis and Molly’s ears…even if Alexis is still in a bit of denial.

Lessons Learned
Sonny (Maurice Benard) was heartened by Avery’s return to the house, but he then had to break the news of Mike’s (Max Gail) passing to the little girl. While he did so, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) swung by Casa Corinthos and check on both his daughter and Carly.
Josslyn (Eden McCoy) seemed to be on the mend. Carly…not so much. She still had problems with the way they handled Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) fall from the cliff but Jax insisted they should let sleeping dogs lie. But that might not be an option since Avery has hung on to that half heart necklace that Nelle left behind.
Brando Gives Advice
After forgiving Jason (Steve Burton) his stealth surveillance, Brando (Johnny Wactor) was joined by an advice-seeking Dev (Ashton Arbab). Long story short, Dev likes Josslyn, but since he turned her away months prior, he feels she’s now moving on with Cameron (William Lipton).
So what’s a besotted youth to do? Brando cautioned that Dev should just tell Josslyn how he feels and remind her of what a kind and considerate guy he is. Because in soapland, good guys always get the girl. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
