General Hospital Recap: Alexis Davis Heals Little Natasha’s Pain

The General Hospital recap for Thursday, April 8, 2021, features Alexis undergoing some major introspection in preparation for her induction into Pentonville society.

Who is Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) now? To better answer that question, Alexis decides to remember who Alexis Davis WAS. She was an attorney at law, and she was a failure at any and all personal relationships. But why?

Kevin (Jon Lindstrom), in his capacity as a therapist, suggested that it may have something to do with Alexis’s relationship – or lack thereof – with her father. But Alexis dismissed that outright…even as she slowly succumbed to nightmarish remembrances of Mikkos.

Eventually, Alexis recalled a long-ago Christmas Eve marred by an instance of domestic violence between her parents. In the end, Kristina had forgiven Mikkos and welcomed him back into the fold…and only because he had once again gifted her an expensive, diamond-studded timepiece.

The return of the full, unvarnished memory allowed Alexis to put her life into perspective. It helped her to understand her need to fight for the underdog, champion causes, and to speak on behalf of those who no longer felt that they had a voice.

And with Kevin’s help, Alexis also realized that she had passed those same traits on to her daughters.

The newly enlightened, and dare we say, burden-less, Alexis returned to her home for the last time, and was greeted with a makeshift graduation party for Molly (Haley Pullos) – she won’t have to miss it after all!

A day later, Alexis reported to Pentonville prison. By sheer coincidence, she was assigned a cellmate diligently preparing for her upcoming parole hearing. And just like that, Alexis Davis – fighter, idealist, and advocate – had found what she was truly searching for — a purpose. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
