The General Hospital recap for Monday, August 24, 2020 features a family in crisis, a child in danger, and an undercover operation beginning to unravel.
General Hospital Recap Highlight
While anxiously awaiting news on Brook Lynn’s (Briana Lane) condition, Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero) submitted to questioning from Chase (Josh Swickard). The detective tried to find out if Brook Lynn had any enemies, but the only names that Ned could provide were Linc Brown and his own.
Olivia did her best to soothe Ned’s feelings of guilt, but they were further compounded when Portia (Brook Kerr) informed them that even though Brook Lynn had survived the touch-and go-surgery, she was now on the critical patient list.
The Plot Thickens
Sam (Kelly Monaco) swung by the hospital to visit Jason (Steve Burton) and was on hand to hear him receive news about his accident. As had been suspected, it was indeed the recently-installed stabilizer that had caused the crash.
Sam insisted that they now had proof that Brando (Johnny Wactor) was a saboteur – and probably on Cyrus Renault’s (Jeff Kober) payroll – but Jason refused to jump to any conclusions. Besides, Sonny (Maurice Benard) had vouched for Brando, and Sonny is never wrong.
No Good Deed…
Julian (William de Vry) and Nelle’s (Chloe Lanier) tense stand-off on the pier was interrupted by an ill-informed Marcus Taggert (Real Andrews). The struggle provided Nelle with the distraction she needed to relieve Julian of his keys and escape the scene with Wiley in tow.
Where In The World Is Wiley Quartermaine Corinthos
Over at Monica’s house (Leslie Charleson), Michael (Chad Duell) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) discovered that his grandmother had been chloroformed… and that Wiley had been abducted.
Michael phoned the authorities, then placed a call to Carly (Laura Wright). She, in turn, informed Sonny, then made a beeline for the estate. Meanwhile, Sonny – with Brando acting as muscle – tracked Julian down and demanded some answers about his wife’s location.
Julian denied any and all knowledge of Nelle and her whereabouts, and Sonny promised to rain hell down, should he find out otherwise. Back at the Quartermaine mansion, Carly placed an emergency call to Jason, who insisted on checking himself out of the hospital and conducting his own search.
Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) tech-wizardry led Stone Cold to the pier, where he came face to face with a grievously injured – though still very much alive – Taggert. How will Jordan (Brianna Nicole Henry) explain her way out of this one? And just when she and the criminal element were beginning to trust one another! General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
