The General Hospital recap for Thursday, August 8, 2019, features medical experimentation – some are necessary to save the life of a young woman at death’s door but the other is dangerous, unnecessary and the only answer to a madman’s scheme.
Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) is rushed to General Hospital and immediately placed into Lucas’ (Ryan Carnes) care. The doctor gave her a complete examination and concluded that Sasha was suffering from influenza – but it’s a strain of flu that he has never come across. He called in infectious disease specialist Finn (Michael Easton) for a consult.
More detailed tests still reveal nothing definitive so Finn makes the decision to quarantine Sasha until her exact illness can be diagnosed. Nina (Cynthia Watros) is absolutely beside her self and insists on being with “her” daughter as much as humanly possible which Finn promises to make happen.
Franco (Roger Howarth) cornered Shiloh (Coby Ryan McLaughlin) and Cabot in the storage facility and demanded to know what they are doing to a tied up and unconscious Cameron (William Lipton). When Shiloh lays out his plan, a distraught Franco begs him to allow a substitution – Franco for his stepson. Cameron does his best to talk Franco out of it but Shiloh finally agrees to the trade.

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) continues to worry about her missing son and husband and is able to use a tracking device on Cameron’s phone to pinpoint his location. She makes plans to go there after work, alone (d’oh!). Meanwhile, Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Drew (Billy Miller) are also able to figure out the location of the warehouse thanks to Lucy (Lynn Herring) who sold the property to Cabot.
The men race off to try and head Shiloh off at the pass but it appears that they will be too late. Franco has already been dosed with Dr. Frankenstein’s memory potion and the memory mapping procedure is mere moments away from being started. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC.
