Should General Hospital Put Peter Out Of His “Misery?”

 Comments

Peter August, aka Henrik Faison, has been tied to a bed in the woods for weeks on General Hospital (GH). We only get him from one angle; lying down on a striped case-less pillow.

This story can’t help but remind us of Stephen King’s Misery, except that two people are involved with this hostage-taking story and one really, really wants revenge. But, hey, Peter is even an author (remember P.K. Sinclair?), so it has that.

And why is this happening? Because Liesl wants Henrik to pay for killing her son, but not really killing her son. She has to blame someone, and Faison is dead, so let’s just go with Peterik.

Soap Hub asked if Liesl has pretty much went off the deep end at this point (not that she was ever fully at the shallow end) and if this little story arc needs to be put to rest and about 4,000 of you weighed in.

Full STOP!
A full 92% of you say Liesl has gotten just a wee bit ridiculous here, taking this story into ridiculousness along with her.

Why is Peter tied to that bed? Why is she walking around with an ax? Why is she giving him cupcakes for his birthday when she hates him with the fire of a thousand suns? Just WHY?

And honestly, all this does it prolong this flash drive story that started last Christmas with a disco ball ornament. Hey, it’s almost July 4 now? Can Peter and Drew’s memories have their independence, you ask.

But, It’s Soap Fun
Then there’s the 8% of you who are entertained by Liesl’s insanity, Nina’s anxiety, and Peterik’s predicament. You don’t like him, so torture away. It’s fun, and isn’t that what soaps should be?

General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
