People are always coming and going through those General Hospital doors. Griffin left after Kiki was murdered, and there was nothing left to keep him in Port Charles… not even ex-love Ava.

Drew (Billy Miller) left after the death of his son, Oscar (Garren Stitt), the mental descent of Oscar’s mom, Kim (Tamra Braun), and ex-wife, Sam (Kelly Monaco) moved on to first love, Jason (Steve Burton)… taking her and Drew’s daughter, Scout, with her. (Not that either Sam or Jason spend much time with either Scout, or their son, Danny. Which of these hunks do fans miss the most? Here’s how almost 15,000 voted:

General Hospital Poll Results

For 76% of you, it’s Drew whose absence is making your heart grow fonder — and you were pretty fond of him to begin with! It was nice to have a character on the canvas who didn’t think the sun rose and set on Sonny.

Who didn’t admire the mobster lifestyle? It’s one of the reasons Sam ended up leaving him. Drew kept her from embracing her gun-moll side.

It was nice to have a character on the canvas who didn’t treat Monica (Leslie Charleson) like crap — and she was neither his biological mother, nor the adoptive mom who raised him. Now all that is over. And you’re in mourning.

Runner Up

And then there’s the 26% of the audience that misses Griffin (Matt Cohen). One never knows when one might need a priest turned surgeon, who is also rather pleasant to look at, and — usually — a nice enough guy. Sure, he got judgey — too much with Ava, not nearly enough with Sonny (Maurice Benard). But… again… pleasant to look at.

Griffin had a lot of future story potential, especially as Duke’s (Ian Buchanan) long-lost son. You feel like we’ve barely scratched the surface! General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
