On General Hospital, if the couples aren’t working, nothing is working! And the fans have some very strong feelings about which couples aren’t working. Here is how over 3,000 voted:
General Hospital: Very Odd Couple
Who thought this was a good idea, 35% are wondering. Maxie’s (Kirsten Storms) husband was killed partially as a result of Peter’s (Wes Ramsey) actions. Liesl (Kathleen Gati) held him hostage in a cabin for weeks over it.
Maxie… started dating him. (Guess a boy’s best friend really is his mother… not his wife.) Are we supposed to be rooting for them? We’re too busy rooting for Peter to get out of town, never to be mentioned again.
Lying Liars Who Lie
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) lied to Nina (Cynthia Watros) about her daughter’s identity, 30% of General Hospital fans remind. So how can this relationship possibly be saved? He is manipulating her, playing her, and she… mostly wants to play Mommy to his daughter. This isn’t a love match, this is dysfunction in human form.
Kim and Julian: Dead On Arrival
Fans were willing to cut Kim (Tamara Braun) a lot of slack. The whole grieving mother thing. But when Kim responded to Oscar’s (Garren Stitt) death by first drugging Drew (Billy Miller) in an attempt to make another Oscar, then globbing on to Franco (Roger Howarth) when he insisted he was Drew, thanks to getting implanted with his memories, it was too much. That’s not how you make the relationship with Julian (William deVry) work, 29% of the audiences advises. So, yes, Kim and Julian? Not a good pair.
Nap Time
And then there is Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) and Michael (Chad Duell). It’s not her lying that bothers 6% of you, it’s the fact that this pairing is deadly dull. Sure, she’s pretty, and even spirited on occasion. But he’s the human version of Eyore, always depressed about something. And it’s starting to rub off. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC.
