General Hospital’s Carly has proven, time and time again, that she has the impulse control and emotional maturity of a feverish toddler.
She wants what she wants when she wants it, and she can swing from euphoria to fury faster than her husband, the one with an actual bipolar diagnosis.
Now, Carly (Laura Wright) is really, really angry at Nelle (Chloe Lanier) for lying to Carly’s baby boy, Michael (Chad Duell), about the death of their baby. Will Carly take her revenge in bullet form? (She’s done it before… hi, Tony!) What over 5,000 fans expect to see happen:
The majority 54% absolutely expect it to happen… if and when Nelle gets out of prison… and pushes Carly too far. On the other hand, just how hard is it to push Carly too far? She blows up at the drop of a hat. Nelle could say good morning. Or, God forbid, mention penguins. (Did you know Morgan was the only child in history to ever love penguins?) And the big guns will come out. Literally.
A smaller 27% don’t even think that Nelle will need to push Carly too far. Just continuing to live and breathe is enough of a provocation. Nelle exists. Nelle makes Carly cranky. Ergo, Nelle has no right to keep on living. Carly will take care of that, tout suite.
Carly is good at talking. Carly is good at shrieking. Something Carly is not particularly good at doing? Following through on her threats. She’s all talk, 19% of the audience dismisses. She’ll rant and rave at Nelle, but she won’t actually do anything about it.
Maybe it’s because, deep down, Carly knows that she did the exact same thing. Twice. And if it’s OK to put Nelle to death for it, well, then… General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
