General Hospital’s Jax has always been a bit of a puzzle. He’s rich. He’s good looking. He’s kind, caring, considerate, clever (all the traits “Into the Woods” taught us make a man a prince), and yet… And, yes, when it comes to women, Jax (Ingo Rademacher) only seems capable of holding onto them for a short while. Before losing them to Sonny (Maurice Benard).
Brenda (Vanessa Marcil) is the poster child for that phenomenon. But Carly (Laura Wright) surely runs a close second. (She definitely hates coming in second to Brenda about… anything.)
When will rich, good-looking, kind, caring, considerate, clever Jax ever get a woman of his own? And who should that woman be? We heard from almost 4,000 viewers:
It’s a sad day in Port Charles when Nina (Cynthia Watros) is anybody’s first choice for anything. Especially Jax. And yet, that’s what 66% of you would like to see. Maybe it’s because she doesn’t seem to be Sonny’s type. Though you know that can change at any moment.
Second place, at 28%, was for someone new altogether. Jax has pretty much gone through all the best options. And none of that worked out. So bring in a fresh shipment!
Fine, let’s go with Carly again, 4% sigh. They do have a child together. And, God knows, Joss (Eden McCoy) could use a role model who isn’t in the mob. Jax had been separated from his only child for too long. At least, if he’s with Carly, he can try to undo some of the damage brought about by her current guardians.
Ava (Maura West) hates Sonny. That’s good enough for 2% of the audience. Plus, turnabout is fair play. Can you see Sonny’s face if Jax ends up playing Daddy to Avery? General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
