General Hospital Poll Results: Should There Be More Quartermaines?

General Hospital is really scraping the bottom of its Quartermaine Barrell. Edward (John Ingle) and Lila (Anna Lee) are dead. Alan (Stuart Damon) is dead. So is Emily (Natalia Livingston) and Johnny come latelies, Drew (Billy Miller) and Oscar (Garren Stitt).

Jason (Steve Burton), as we all know, only remembers his family when there’s something in it for him — or Sonny (Maurice Benard), and kids like Jake, Danny, and Scout are “upstairs” most of the time.

Yay, Tracy (Jane Elliot) is back, and Ned (Wally Kurth) pops up once in a while. And, oh, yeah, there’s Monica (Leslie Charleson). She’s usually with the kids.

Thankfully, the Qs have been a bit more front and center in the last week and Tracy revealed why she’s back and Nelle revealed she is free and holds a stake in ELQ. So does Port Charles need even more of a Quartermaine resurgence? How over 6,000 fans voted:

Absolutely, 76% of you insist! How about bringing back Dillon? Or aging Jason’s sons. (You know their moms won’t notice, they’ve got other stuff going on.) Maybe Emily has another long-lost triplet! Or, here’s an idea: Maybe Jason could get conked on the head again and wake up wanting to study medicine and wear ugly Christmas sweaters?

Of course, who fans really want to see more of are Monica and Tracy and Ned and maybe even a returned from the dead — again! — AJ (Sean Kanan).

And then there’s Michael (Chad Duell). Michael picked up Jason’s habit of only being a Quartermaine when it suits him. Maybe it should suit him more often? Well, with Nelle around now, it might.

Enough Is Enough

Out with the old, in with the new, 24% of the General Hospital fans counter. It’s bad enough the show is named after a hospital. Do we also have to see people working there? Sick people are icky.

It’s time for Monica and Tracy and even Ned to step aside and hand over the spotlight to a new generation. Well, now we have Brook Lynn back and causing trouble. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
