General Hospital fans know the score: The more people a dastardly villain pisses off in a short amount of time, the more likely it is he’ll end up in the center of a Whodunit? As in: Who killed him/her?
Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) has pissed off a lot of people. Yes, even more than the average Cassadine. Does he have a target on his back? What 6,000 fans think will happen:
Round Up the Usual Suspects
Oh, yeah, 90% of the audience can’t wait for the inevitable shot (or stab, or even poison) in the back. Nina (Cynthia Watros) is your favorite bet for the killer, since she knowsValentin was the one who paid Sasha (Sofia Mattsson) to pretend to be her daughter.
Then again, maybe Sasha will do the deed. Or Nikolas (Marcus Coloma) — a murder for a murder. Lulu (Emme Rylan) isn’t a huge fan and neither is Laura (Genie Francis). Or how about Charlotte (Scarlett Fernandez)?
GH had a kid Michael kill AJ (yes, we know it was retconned later, but they still shot scenes of a pre-teen smothering his biological dad with a pillow). Charlotte is already kind of creepy and Children Of the Corn-y. Does anyone doubt she’s up for it?
Valentin Has Lots To Live For
Valentin is a lot more interesting alive than dead, 10% of General Hospital fans counter. He causes trouble, which all soaps need. And he’s still got a lot more misery to put Nina through — so that she can put him through the wringer, back.
We heard so much about how Valentin was the worst Cassadine of them all before he even showed up. And, since he’s shown up, he’s been… eh. Is that all there is (as Obrecht sang, back in the day)?
He’d better show us why even Helena (Constance Towers) feared him before he shuffles off his mortal coil. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
