When people think about core General Hospital families, they think about the Hardys, Webbers, Baldwins, Quartermaines, Spencers, and Cassadines.
General Hospital Polling
But there is another class of core GH families. Remember the Smiths? They brought the mob to Port Charles in the 1970s. (Also discos. They were also responsible for discos.) The Jeromes, who first showed up in the late 1980s.
And then, of course, the Corinthos clan, who carried the banner starting in the early 1990s. There were also some Zacharas. And do we count Jerry Jax? How about the Russians, with the bad accents? Joe Scully?
While no one may be exactly sure what Sonny (Maurice Benard) deals in so illegally — since he has made it clear it’s not drugs, hookers, or guns; he’s insulted you’d even ask, he’s a moral man! — we do know that periodically he does have turf wars about his… stuff. Are fans going to the mattresses for more mob wars? How over 3,000 foot soldiers voted:
Get Out Of Town
That would be a big-time no, 70% of General Hospital fans advise. The mob wars we’ve got now are interminable… and dull. Don’t forget dull. Sonny is foaming at the mouth about somebody, who does something, which keeps him from doing his something, but, just so we’re clear, they’re bad, Sonny is good, you know who to root for, folks. Yeah, about that? We’d like to see less of that.
More Sonny: Bring It On
Anything that keeps Sonny front, center, and heroic is OK by 30% of you. If Sonny doesn’t periodically go to war against evil deed-doers like Ava (Maura West) and some day-players, how will fans remember that he is the good mobster who does good things, while other mobsters — and even good guys like Jax (Ingo Rademacher) – break the law? And must be stopped. By Sonny. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
