General Hospital has been well represented, Bensonhurst, Brooklyn style, since the early 1990s, when first Sonny, then Lois moved to Port Charles from then-head writer Claire Labine’s personal stomping grounds.
General Hospital Polling
After Lois (then Rena Sofer) came, Sonny’s (Maurice Benard) old flame, Connie/Kate arrived. And then his other old flame – and baby mama – Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), and their son, Dante (Dominic Zaparonga).
Lois took off while her and Ned’s (Wally Kurth) daughter, Brook Lynn (you see what they did there?), was still a baby. An all grown up Brook Lynn returned, along with the new face of Lois (Lesli Kay). That didn’t go well.
Now there’s yet another Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). So is it time for Lois to return, as well? We heard from almost 9,000 fans:
Let It Go
Nope, 52% of the audience dismisses, we don’t need Brook Lynn’s mama. Brook Lynn is enough, thank you very much. She already sucks all the air out of a room just by entering it.
We don’t need her mom, who does the same (where do we think Brook Lynn learned it from?). Let Ned and his daughter bond. Let Brook Lynn bond with Granny Tracy (Jane Elliot). Lois and her fake, press-on nails would only get in the way.
Take-Two – Again
Then again, 31% of you are perfectly happy to take Lois any way they can get her. You are perfectly happy to see Lesli Kay if Rena Sofer refuses to leave The Bold and the Beautiful, where she’s playing Quinn. Any Lois is a great Lois!
Open Call For Lois
And 17% are willing to go even further. You’ll accept a recast of a recast if it gets Lois back on your screens. And, preferably, back with Ned. Olivia is obviously just a pale imitation. And you want the real thing. Even if she isn’t played by the real thing. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
