With General Hospital‘s Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) alternately losing her mind to either the bottle or the mobster she married (not to be confused with the mobsters she had her other daughters with).
Needless to say, Port Charles is without a competent attorney (who isn’t in bed with the mob metaphorically — and a mob enforcer literally).
Enter Nora Buchanon, late of Llanview and One Life to Live. She represented Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) in the custody battle for Charlotte, and defended Olivia (Tonja Walker). This, naturally, brought her into conflict with Diane.
But that was purely business. What would viewers like to see happen with these smart, funny, and confident lady lawyers next? Almost 5,000 of you had this to say.
You Gotta Have Friends
While on the surface the two don’t seem to have much in common beyond their profession – has Diane even been blinded and terrorized by a rapist she realized was guilty… even though she was his defense attorney? — they’re actually pretty similar, and 37% of you would like to see Nora (Hillary B. Smith) and Diane form a real friendship. Or at least become super fun drinking buddies!
Know Thy Frenemy
Well, maybe not exactly drinking buddies, counter 33% of fans. More like frenemies.
They can match wits and banter and have grudging respect for each other, but let’s not get too close. Nobody wants either Diane (Carolyn Hennessy) or Nora picking up each other’s bad habits.
Front and Center
Friends, frenemies, rivals, heck, they can date if they want to, offer 29% of viewers, just as long as the show keeps them front-burner.
These are two women who can not only carry a major story, they deserve to! Maybe Diane can help Nora figure out where her husband, Bo (Robert S. Woods) — and their entire hometown — has disappeared to!
