Julian Jerome may not be known for his lengthy relationships on General Hospital, but off-screen, his portrayer, William deVry is in a long-term one with Rebecca Staab. The soap-hopping actress recently noted that the two have been together for over a decade now!
Congratulations, William deVry and Rebecca Staab
“Thirteen years,” Staab tweeted. “@WilliamdeVry1.” The real-life supercouple received many supportive remarks in the comments section of Staab’s post.
“Congratulations!” wrote @PaulineRMilner. “You certainly are a beautiful couple and awesome parents to all of your little ones! God sure knows where to send them when they are in need. You rock!”
“Congratulations,” chimed in @Rivetingriffs. “I do not know you William, except on here, but I had the pleasure of interviewing Rebecca several years ago and you both are truly an inspiration in the way you live your lives and your values.”
“Happy Anniversary, two beautiful people inside and out,” wrote @MaryLevesley, “thank you for all you do for fur babies and Ovarian Cancer awareness, may you both be blessed with many more happy and healthy years together.”
Staab made the soap scene as Celia Sowolsky on Loving. Her run in Corinth was brief because she landed the part of Jesse Matthews on Guiding Light. She moved to Los Angeles after that role came to an end, but didn’t stay away from soaps. First, she was cast as Daphne on the primetime remake of Dark Shadows.
After appearing in the short-lived UPN series Live Shot, Staab came back to daytime, first, as Elizabeth Barrington, and then she did a few episodes as April Stevens, Paul’s (Doug Davidson) ex, on The Young and the Restless.
William deVry is no stranger to soap-hopping either. Like Staab, he appeared on Port Charles (playing the part of Tim Dolan). He then went on to portray villain Michael Cambias on All My Children. Next, he played the ill-fated Storm Logan on The Bold and the Beautiful. After Storm went to that great soap in the sky, deVry came back to ABC as GH’s Julian.
Soap Hub congratulates deVry and Staab on their 13th anniversary. General Hospital airs weekdays on ABC. Check local listings for air times.
