General Hospital News Update: Kirsten Storms And Emme Rylan’s Summer Crochet Along

General Hospital fans know that off-screen besties Kirsten Storms and Emme Rylan (who play on-screen besties Maxie and Lulu) are quite crafty and once again, they want to craft with you.

Crochet Along With General Hospital Stars

Earlier this year, they took to social media to teach people how to knit, and this summer, they want to teach you to crochet and have kicked off their Summer Crochet-Along. They’ve taken to Instagram to provide you with a supply list and businesses where you can get these supplies — even online if you want to stay safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

“We are so excited that so many of you want to learn how to crochet! There will be TWO crochet patterns – both will be a scarf – that teach you the “Single Crochet” and “Double Crochet” stitches. There WILL be tutorial videos posted, so don’t worry YOU WILL HAVE HELP. You can watch the videos as many times as you need to,” wrote Kirsten Storms.

“Once you’re comfortable with these 2 stitches, and you’ve completed both of these beautiful projects, you will be ready to move on to one (or all) of the 3 projects we have selected for our #KickingItWithEmmeAndKirsten Crochet Along!

“We will be answering as many questions as we can for you, but it’s REALLY important to use our hashtag ( #KickingItWithEmmeAndKirsten ) if you’re posting a picture of your progress. We both follow our hashtag on Instagram and we will be checking it regularly. If you use this hashtag, your photo will pop up in our feed! We also really want to see how you guys are doing!

The Kicking It With Emme and Kirsten Summer Crochet Along patterns have been chosen! Crochet Along projects include: a purse, a blanket and a cardigan – from 3 FABULOUS and TALENTED designers! Let’s get started! ⠀⠀ ⠀⠀ The “Sundance Crossbody Clutch” is one of our favorite items to make. It works up with ease and the added bonus is the finished product…A FRINGE PURSE 🙌🏼 The pattern was designed by @wildflowercrochetco! We. Are. Obsessed. ♥️⠀ ⠀⠀ Next up is the “Daphne Afghan”! The pattern writer/designer Toni, aka @tlyarncrafts, is on another level when it comes to crochet. When we decided to do a Crochet Along we KNEW we’d be selecting one of Toni’s patterns – the difficult part was figuring out which one (we want to make them all 😳). The “Daphne Afghan” is gorgeous and we need to make it. Toni also does instructional videos for her designs and inside this perfectly written pattern is a link for the how-to video on this Afghan. We are very excited to have one of Toni’s creations be apart of our first Crochet Along! ♥️⠀ ⠀ The “Hex Mex Cardigan” – by the FAB and fun @katiejonesknit – is a very special and unique sweater that we simply LOVE (and have both already made 🙆🏼‍♀️). One of our favorite things about this cardigan is the ability to customize the size to fit you perfectly. This sweater is easy to make in a child’s size and would be perfect for a Mommy and Mini set! Pictures show this cardigan done beautifully in stripes, but this garment would also look ahhhmazing in a solid color. ♥️⠀ ⠀⠀ We are a little too excited for this Crochet Along and we can’t wait to see what project(s) you choose to make with us! Supplies you need will be listed in the pattern you select/download, so we won’t be posting a supply list for these 3 items.⠀ ⠀ **Very Beginner Pattern info (for those of you wanting to learn how to crochet) will go up in the next few days.
