It seems like just yesterday General Hospital star Brooklyn Rae Silzer was a tiny little girl performing at The Nurses Ball with Jason Thompson’s Patrick and sitting on Sam’s lap. Well, it wasn’t yesterday, but it was Friday during a GH classic episode.
Congratulations, Brooklyn Rae Silzer
Now, it seems she has grown up before our eyes as the young actress is ready to begin high school in the fall.
“High School here I come!!” Silzer tweeted as she showed off a pic of her diploma from Labera Vista Junior High. She also displays a certificate from the National Junior Honor Society.
Silzer turned 14 on April 27, which makes her just the right age to start 9th grade, but it still seems like a shock when we’ve watched her grow up before our eyes.
The talented young lady was just five years old when she began playing Emma Scorpio Drake on General Hospital in 2011. Like Kimberly McCullough, who plays Emma’s mom, Robin, Silzer has been allowed to grow with Emma on screen. While other young actors have been replaced to turn characters into older teens, Silzer has not.
Unfortunately, we don’t get to see Emma and Silzer much as her parents, Robin and Patrick, live in San Francisco. It’s always a treat when the character arrives to visit Grandma Anna. Many fans wish Emma would be allowed to return to Port Charles permanently and live with Anna. She can be a younger member of the PC teen scene and help stir things up. We’re sure Joss (Eden McCoy), Cam (Will Lipton), and Trina (Sydney Mikayla) would welcome her.
Of course, Silzer will be busy with high school soon and Soap Hub wishes her the best of luck during this new venture in her life. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
