We all look back on photographs of our younger years and wonder what ever made us put that outfit on. And General Hospital star Maurice Benard is no exception.
Maurice Benard On A Blast To The Past
He recently posted a decades-old photo on Instagram in a shirt we know we’ll never see on Sonny Corinthos. Now he wants to know what he was thinking when he decided to don this top.
“Let me ask you a question? Have you ever put on a shirt when you were young, and thought it was the bomb. Then 20 years later you say to yourself-What the hell was I thinking!!! (see-through shirt) My goodness. @elitemodelworld @allmychildren #wardrobe #gone# #wrong,” Benard wrote.

So, with that All My Children hashtag we will assume that as a Nico Kelly shirt, the character he played on AMC in the late 1980s and early 1990s. Nico got the actor his start in the daytime world and he and Cecily (Rosa Nevin) were quite a popular Pine Valley pair.
Of course, there was a time when a sheer shirt like that was quite popular on men. Would Benard put it on again if it ever came back into style? We know that is not a shirt Sonny would wear as the Dapper Don loves his simple button-downs and sport jackets.
At least we’ll have new Sonny scenes by Monday when GH returns from its coronavirus-induced hiatus. General Hospital (GH) airs weekdays on ABC. Check your local listings for airtimes.
