It’s only been a few short weeks since the news of Kirsten Storms’ temporary “General Hospital” leave of absence hit the soap world by storm, but now it looks like the popular actress will be back before you know it.
We’ll see Storms’ version of Maxie on our screens by August, according to Soap Opera Digest. In the meantime, former “Days of Our Lives” star Molly Burnett (ex-Melanie) will fill in as Maxie so there’s no break in her front burner story.
Storms spent some time off set due to a skin condition her doctors deemed stemmed from emotional stress. She said the makeup department was having trouble hiding the problem, so she chose to take some time off until her skin healed.
The actress has been going through a divorce from former co-star Brandon Barash (ex-Johnny) as they work out how to raise daughter, Harper Rose, together.
Meanwhile, Maxie has been front and center as she’s learned of Nathan’s (Ryan Paevey) past. With his ex, Claudette (Bree Williamson) arriving in town soon, GH didn’t want to write Maxie off the canvas as Storms recovered.
