General Hospital News: James Patrick Stuart Shares COVID-19 Setside Secrets

Soaps are often about education as well as entertainment, as serials have presented social issues stories over the years. General Hospital, in fact, has often led the way in keeping viewers informed. Now, James Patrick Stuart is passing along some helpful information related to COVID-19.

James Patrick Stuart Learns A Lesson

“I’m not a doctor (nor do I play one on TV),” tweeted Stuart (Valentin), poking fun at the cough syrup commercial that used to feature TV doctors Rick Webber (Chris Robinson) from GH and Cliff Warner (Peter Bergman) from All My Children.

“Disney and ABC have been incredible educating us employees to stay safe in the age of Covid,” Stuart adds on a more serious note. “Tip: Floors almost never get disinfected. Treat the floor like LAVA. Anything that touches the floor or is dropped on the floor is high risk.”

Stuart made his GH debut in 2016 as yet another of the Cassadine clan members. The family first surfaced on GH 40 years ago. Luke (Anthony Geary) investigated the family on behalf of the Quartermaines. That led to the famous Ice Princess Saga in which Mikkos Cassadine (John Colicos) showed he could freeze the world by having temperatures in Port Charles plummet.

Luke, Laura (Genie Francis), Scorpio (Tristan Rogers), and Tiffany Hill (Sharon Wyatt) foiled Mikkos’ schemes, saving the world. Initially, it was believed that Mikkos was Valentin’s father and that Valentin had killed Nikolas (Marcus Coloma), but neither of those things turned out to be the case. However, Helena (Constance Towers) is Valentin’s mother.

Recently, Valentin has ingratiated himself with Brook Lynn Ashton (Briana Lane) and presented her brand — BLQ — to cosmetics company Deception, hoping to create some synergy.
