General Hospital News: Introducing Violet Finn

Even before Hayden Barnes returned to Port Charles, fans of General Hospital have been speculating that her daughter with Hamilton Finn was alive. Today, theories were confirmed when Finn met his daughter Violet.

Actress Jophielle Love made her GH debut today as little hospitalized Violet. She’s not unfamiliar with hospital dramas having appeared earlier this month as Clervie Martin on Grey’s Anatomy.

Hayden (Rebecca Budig) and Finn (Michael Easton) were a hit couple, but Budig’s departure from the ABC soap put their romance on hold. Finn mourned her departure and, he believed, her losing their child. In time, he moved on to a romance with Anna Devane (Finola Hughes), making a romantic proposal to her at this year’s Nurses Ball.

Perhaps anticipating Hughes’ vacation this year, the GH writers brought Hayden back and revisited the unresolved romance between her and Finn. Now, Finn has discovered that he has a daughter. How will this affect his dynamic with Hayden? And also, will this affect his engagement to Anna?

Hayden’s got some explaining to do. Why’ did she keep Violet’s existence a secret for so long? Does she still have feelings for Finn? And how will Anna react to all this when she returns to Port Charles? Our guess is that the one certainty in all this is Violet’s uncle Chase (Josh Swickard) will be a doting uncle!

Love, according to her bio page on IMDB, was born on May 20, 2014, in France. She has a role in the film Rose which tells the story of a man seeking revenge for his wife’s murder and the kidnapping of his daughter.

Love’s father, Jade Kindar-Martin, is a high-wire walker. Her mother, Karine Mauffrey, is a stunt woman. Love began acting at the age of 3 and appeared in Citi Bank commercial with members of her family in 2018.
